Angela Bailey began her career working with nonprofit, direct service institutions. While her passion was in women and children's issues, she found herself doing special events, writing grants and working with major donors to support her direct services efforts. After some years, it became evident that not only was Angela, a skilled fundraiser but that she enjoyed the work and decided to dedicate her efforts to fundraising full time. Since beginning her second career, Angela has raised over a million dollars in events alone, participated in a capital campaign raising 3.2 million dollars in a six-county region of Kentucky which included some of the poorest counties in the country to fund the construction of the Hospice Care Plus Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. Angela is currently employed as the Chief Advancement Officer at Frontier Nursing University where she is leading a capital campaign to fund the construction of the University's new campus in Versailles, KY, Alumni programming, the Courier Summer Internship Program, university publications, and all other general fundraising activities. Angela serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet at FNU and Co-Chaired the Shared Governance Committee charged with creating a platform for engaging staff and faculty in the governance of the University.
Angela has worked with several non-profits including Hospice and the Boys & Girls Club of America. She is an experienced presenter with a passion for discussing leadership, and donor-centered fundraising.
Angela holds a BA in Communication Studies from Eastern Kentucky University and an MA in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently enrolled in an EdD program at Abilene Christian University in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Higher Education Administration. Angela recently was granted certification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals where she has served as the Vice President of Membership for the Bluegrass Chapter.
