Maureen Mahoney Hill, CFRE, is a trusted advisor to nonprofit leaders throughout the Pittsburgh region and beyond, bringing more than three decades of expertise in fundraising strategy and capacity building. With a collaborative, mission-centered approach, she helps organizations build the internal capacity essential for raising sustainable support and achieving their vision.
Maureen launched her consulting practice in 2006 and founded Advancement Advisors in 2016. Her firm has since partnered with more than 120 organizations across Western Pennsylvania, empowering teams, boards, and leaders to plan strategically, cultivate meaningful donor relationships, and align development efforts with organizational mission.
A longtime Certified Fund Raising Executive, Maureen was named Outstanding Fundraising Executive by the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals(AFP) in 2025. She has distinguished herself by achieving Master Trainer status with AFP. In addition to her active membership in the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of AFP and the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council (PPGC), she currently serves as Vice President of the Association of Philanthropic Counsel (APC), an international professional association of philanthropic consultants. In 2024, the Pittsburgh Business Times recognized her as a Woman of Influence.
Before establishing Advancement Advisors, Maureen honed her fundraising expertise through leadership roles with prominent organizations including The Children's Institute, The Pittsburgh Foundation, Pennsylvania State University, and the Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.
Maureen earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Science from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Social Work.
