Desiree Worthington, CFRE
Des Worthington has spent 30-years working with charitably-minded families and organizations to achieve great things. She has led several campaigns for both start-up and large charities, resulting in preserving land for future generations, building medical facilities, and sustaining important community programs. Although she is experienced in non-profit governance, operations and fundraising, she particularly enjoys building major and planned giving programs. She spent the last 14 years as the foundation president for Munson Healthcare and led a fast-growing organization to more than double its annual fundraising and successfully complete 4 major campaigns. In total, the foundation raised more than $100 million during her tenure. Prior to 2006, she was the development director of Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, where she led the Coastal Campaign, which raised more than $40 million to preserve pristine northern Michigan landscapes. She also led fundraising, marketing and volunteer programs for several human service organizations.
Des is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 2010 and has been a frequent presenter at various fundraising workshops and board retreats. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Northern Illinois University.
In addition to working with non-profits to Multiply the Good, Des volunteers her time at her local church and community college. She enjoys sailing and other outdoor activities with her family.
